Saints News, 12/15/15: Drew Brees is Saints' Best Shot to Avoid Pro Bowl Shutout

New, comments

From Mike Triplett: Quarterback Drew Brees gives the Saints their best chance. And he will almost certainly make the game as an alternate, as he did in 2014, if he doesn't make the first cut of six quarterbacks selected. But he was seventh in fan voting as of last week. And he has a lot of star power to navigate through at the QB position.

Vikings will bid farewell (probably) to TCF Bank Stadium in prime time | ProFootballTalk
With the Giants beating the Dolphins on Monday night, the Giants and Vikings will slide to Sunday Night Football in Week 16, taking the place of a Steelers-Ravens game that likely would have seen Baltimore invaded by Terrible Towels, given the current struggles (and irrelevance) of the home team.

Cam Newton is scoring touchdowns like no other NFL player | ProFootballTalk
Saying Cam Newton runs for a lot of touchdowns is like saying a lot of people are going to go see the new Star Wars movie. It's an accurate statement, but it doesn't really convey the magnitude of the matter. Newton isn't just running for a lot of touchdowns by the standards of a quarterback.

NFC playoff picture: Three-way tie in the East | ProFootballTalk
The NFC East stinks, but that's a good thing for football fans: If that weren't the case, the NFC playoff race would be boring.
