A Pitiful Saints Christmas Returns For 2015

New, comments

We parody one of the most iconic Christmas songs of all-time, with a Saints twist.

Chuck Cook-USA TODAY Sports

For another year I bring you a little holiday joy through song this Christmas, featuring one of the most iconic songs of the season.  Just because we're not having much fun watching the Saints again this season doesn't mean we can't have a little fun singing about their pitiful year.

In honor of one of the all-time great Christmas classics, Andy Williams' 1963 hit song "It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year", Canal Street Chronicles presents the Saints' 2015 version.

"It's The Most Pitiful Time of the Year"

It's the most pitiful time of the year

Sinking like the Titanic

The loathing and panic has gotten severe

It's the most pitiful time of the year

This, the crap-crappiest season of all

Still the victories fleeting, like last year repeating

They should be appalled

It's the crap-crappiest season of all

***

While Browner once boasted

He's frequently toasted

The flags have been falling like snow

He's constantly holding

And reporter scolding

Thank goodness we lucked into Breaux

***

It's the most pitiful time of the year

With our anger still growing

Remote control throwing

Has loved ones in fear

It's the most pitiful time of the year

***

Byrd was once celebrated

We patiently waited

For Spiller to finally show

Now we're moaning and whining

From all the bad signings

We've gotten from cold Buffalo

***

It's the most pitiful time of the year

Now we're all past consoling

Heads need to start rolling

On Airline next year

It's the most pitiful time

Yes the most pitiful time

Oh the most pitiful time... of the year!

Sing along with the classic here, and have a Merry Christmas, Who Dat Nation!
