Saints wide receiver Brandon Coleman was on the field for 45 plays (74%) against the Panthers this Sunday. That's the most involvement Coleman has had since Week 1 of the regular season and it's a significant jump from recent weeks. Perhaps that means Sean Payton is beginning to trust the young player a little more. Or perhaps it means absolutely nothing. C.J. Spiller, on the other hand, is back to mysteriously being limited in his playing time. He only saw the field for 5 plays.
Other than that, not too many surprises on the offensive side of the ball as far as playing time is concerned.
On defense, cornerback Brandon Browner played almost the entire game with the exception of one play, much to the disappointment of just about every Saints fans. Fans would have much preferred to see more of Delvin Breaux, who only played 11 snaps after injuring his hamstring. New addition Chris Owens saw a handful of playing time in Breaux's absence.
