Mickey Loomis displays his cap genius on the Kenny Stills/Dannell Ellerbe trade. Not only does he restructure $7,400,000 off of Ellerbe's contract right off the top, but the Dolphins absorb the 2015 signing bonus of $1,500,000 and the 2015 roster bonus of $2,100,000. Miami wanted Stills very strongly. Absorbing those cap dollars as well as throwing in a 3rd round pick is a very good deal for the former 5th round draft pick.

Making a total of a little more than $5.6 mil, so Mickey still has to work some more cap magic by draft time, and has about $1.4 mil left to play with in free agency.
