The New Orleans Saints have landed some new faces this offseason, as well as saying goodbye to some beloved players. For those of you looking to replenish your jersey supply, the numbers for the new Saints members have been announced.
Delvin Breaux (DB) was signed to a three year contract by the Saints in January, following a two year stint playing for the CFL’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Breaux will wear #40.
Brandon Browner (DB), coming off of back to back Super Bowl Championships on two different teams, signed a three year deal with the Saints, earlier this month, and is expected to lead what was a weak group of cornerbacks in 2014. Browner will be wearing #39 for the black and gold.
C.J. Spiller (RB) signed a four year contract with the Saints, after playing the last five years in Buffalo, providing the team with a much needed explosive threat (both running and receiving) out of the backfield. Spiller will don the #21.
Max Unger (C) was a key part of one of the most shocking moves of this NFL offseason, when the Saints traded away All- Pro TE Jimmy Graham and a fourth round draft pick to the Seattle Seahawks for Max Unger and a 1st round draft pick. A two-time Pro Bowler, Unger looks to be a big-time upgrade at center. Max Unger will wear #60.
Do you have the hunger for Unger? Do you think Spiller is a thriller? Want some mo' Delvin Breaux? Does Brandon Browner... umm... make you not a frowner? Then get to your local jersey website and order your new batch now!
