Jairus Byrd Says He's Medically Cleared To Play

New, comments

But no word on whether he's cleared and plans to play BETTER than he did in 2014 before going on Injured Reserve.

At a time when mostly adequate linebackers are being shopped and fan favorite running backs are rumored to be released, Saints fans need all the good news they can get, so here's some courtesy everyone's favorite gimpy high-priced safety, Jairus Byrd:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Thanking God for healing.. Just got officially cleared for 2015 season.. Big thanks to <a href="https://twitter.com/beau_lowery">@beau_lowery</a> for his help in getting me back.</p>&mdash; jairus byrd (@jairusbyrd) <a href="https://twitter.com/jairusbyrd/status/573217693832126464">March 4, 2015</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

and now, he's calling us to (cheering) arms!

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>So for now if your a <a href="https://twitter.com/Saints">@Saints</a> fan let&#39;s all yell <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/WhoDat?src=hash">#WhoDat</a> as loud as we can wherever your at... Just because lol</p>&mdash; jairus byrd (@jairusbyrd) <a href="https://twitter.com/jairusbyrd/status/573233831177662464">March 4, 2015</a></blockquote>

Before you get too excited, don't forget how he was playing before he got hurt...(source)

A three-time Pro Bowl selection in Buffalo, Byrd was missing tackles and giving up big plays as a member of the Saints. It did not look like he was on the same page with defensive coordinator Rob Ryan and fellow safety Kenny Vaccaro.

How bout them apples? Tell us in the comment section what this does to your 2015 Saints outlook...
