With the 13th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints have selected offensive tackle Andrus Peat from Stanford.
At 6'7" 313-pounds, Peat is a mammoth of a man. Most of that weight is in his lower body, which is great for an offensive tackle. Peat is the son of Todd Peat, who played 6 years in the NFL as an offensive lineman.
Not sure what this means for the futures of tackles Terron Armstead and/or Zach Strief but their seats just got a little hotter. Obviously, protecting Drew Brees is a top priority for the Saints front office.
The Saints aren't finished tonight, however. They still have the 31st overall pick remaining in the first round so stay tuned.
