It's an interesting list of opponents that will be facing the Saints in these four mostly uninteresting and meaningless games. Kudos to Saintsfan820 for finding this cool graphic!
Pat Yasinskas at ESPN.com (Pat Yasinskas? What the hell happened to Mike Triplett!?) has more on the schedule:
The Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers are on the schedule. So are the Houston Texans. Exact dates and times for preseason games still are being finalized.
But we know the Saints will open the preseason at Baltimore sometime between Aug. 13 and 17. In Week 2 (Aug. 20-24), the Saints will host the Patriots.
The Saints stay home in Week 3 and host the Texans in a 3 p.m. CT game that will be carried nationally on Fox.
The Saints will close out the preseason on the road at Green Bay on either Sept. 3 or 4.
Here's a cool video from the Saints' official website.
So, what do you think about this list of opponents? Do you think facing such quality teams, including the Super Bowl champs, during preseason will help Coach Payton better get his team ready for the games that actually matter?
