Saints News, 5/26/15: Saints Kick Off OTAs Today

From Mike Triplett: The New Orleans Saints will take the practice field for the first time today as they kick off three weeks of OTAs (organized team activities). Today’s session will be closed to the media, but we’ll get our first glimpse of the team in action on Thursday. All 10 OTA sessions will be closed to the public. OTAs don’t include pads or live contact. But they will offer the first chance for the Saints’ entire new roster to hit the field together -- veterans and rookies alike -- with at least one notable exception. Top draft choice Andrus Peat won’t be allowed to join the Saints because of an NFL rule that forbids rookies from participating in OTAs until their school’s academic year has finished.
