Saints Depth Chart Projections: Hocker or Hopkins at Kicker?

We're looking at the two Saints kickers on the roster, Hocker and Hopkins, in anticipation of the start of training camp and discussing which one will make the final roster.

New Orleans Saints training camp is quickly approaching, thankfully. To mentally prepare, we're evaluating each position group to take stock of who is on the roster and determine which players are likely and not so likely to make the final cut.

Today we're looking at the two kickers battling it out during training camp for one job, Zach Hocker and Dustin Hopkins. Feel free to share your own thoughts and opinions on the subject.

On the Bubble

Zach Hocker, Dustin Hopkins

Hocker is a 2014 seventh round draft pick now with his third team in one year. Hopkins is a 2013 sixth round draft pick who spent the past two seasons with the Buffalo Bills but never made it. Neither has any regular season kicking experience or seems to be incredibly impressive. In other words, this is a crap shoot. It's anybody's guess as to who will earn the one and only placekicking job. But they can definitely both be considered "on the bubble."
