The Saints have already offered former Bengals tight end Jermaine Gresham a contract, per NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Bengals free-agent TE Jermaine Gresham will the visit Arizona Cardinals this week, per source. Saints already have offered the 27-year-old Gresham, who is coming off back surgery, a contract. Gresham also has other visits planned the next two weeks and is expected to sign with a team before camp, per source. But Gresham is now the NFL's most sought-after available tight end.
We all knew Gresham visited the Saints early last month but I don't ever recall hearing about a definitive contract offer. That's interesting news to me at least.
The Saints are obviously looking to fill the hole left by the Jimmy Graham trade and Gresham is obviously hoping to score a more lucrative deal than the one currently on the table from the Saints. If no other team makes him a deal, he very well might become a member of the Saints.
