It is being reported that OLB Junior Galette has been cut by the Saints, following off the field issues. Galette was the teams top pass rusher from last season, taking down the QB behind the line ten times (Cam Jordan was second with seven and a half). The release will be made official, following the results of Junior Galette's physical set for this weekend. Here's what's being said:
. @LyonsYellin and others reporting #Saints have released OLB Junior Galette, whose off-field issues outweighed his enormous contract.

Junior Galette recently met with @NFL officials, who are looking into 2 off-the-field incidents. #Saints have been frustrated for a while.

I believe he'll count the same this year ($5.45 million) with huge hit coming next year ($12.1 million). https://t.co/OMDmIzBxoF

Looks like it was a long time coming?
I can tell you the Saints wanted to make this move shortly after his January.

Galette has been with the Saints since entering the league in 2010. He compiled 31.5 sacks, 128 total tackles, 5 forced fumbles, and notched two safeties during his tenure. The reason for his release likely stems from the infamous beach incident. More details to come as they are released.
