Since the Saints minicamp back in June, Saints fans (and much of the rest of the world) hadn't heard anything from or about the 54 million dollar man, Jairus Byrd. I think the last known picture of the ballhawk safety was of him jogging. Alone. With a hood over his head.
Most of us (myself included) had presumed him abducted by aliens or worse, tracking down David Bowie in a labyrinth, trying to find his baby.
Alas, Byrd was back at practice today, visibly tantalized by Sean Payton.

Something funny, Sean?
And then, there was Keenan Lewis news! It was reported in early September that Lewis had undergone surgery and was expected to miss 4-6 weeks. By game day against the Panthers, if Lewis were to play, he'd be 3 days shy of the earliest projected timetable reported.

CB Keenan Lewis said he's ahead of schedule on rehab but decision on Sunday in hands of medical staff.

It remains to be seen, possibly throughout the week, whether two of the Saints starting DBs will make a return this week or anytime soon, but their appearances bode well for a depleted Saints secondary and a team in need of a kick in the pants.
Stay tuned for more updates!
