Saints News, 9/28/15: Drew Brees 'Very Optimistic' He Will Play Sunday vs. Cowboys

New, comments

"It's a matter of functionality," Brees said. "It's what I can do with my arm. It's not about pain. It's about strength. It's about mobility. It's about functionality. Can I make the throws that I'm required to make in this offense for us to be successful? If I am on point ... and if I'm not, then Luke plays."

Forecast: Saints close to winning, miles from being a good team
The problem with bad football teams like the New Orleans Saints are even when they play to their maximum capability to start a game, it only gets them a 10-0 lead in the second quarter. The Saints will be hard pressed to play better on the road to open a game than they did in Carolina and yet they didn't even lead at the half.
