Saints News, 1/15/16: Loomis Says He Never Discussed Sean Payton Trade

From Mike Triplett: When asked Thursday if it ever reached the point where he was contemplating how much compensation he would require from another team to hire Payton away, Loomis said, “Not really...Here’s what I can tell you: I never had a discussion with another team,” Loomis said. “No one called me and I didn’t call anyone else...His first statement when he walked in the room was, 'Hey, I want to be here. I want to be coach for the Saints.' It never really went beyond that,” Loomis said. “Then it was just a matter of, ‘Hey, how are we gonna approach this season? What are the things we on the surface need to do? And let's get going.’”
