Saints News, 1/16/16: Loomis: Saints Must Learn From Hits and Misses

Per Triplett: In an interview with Mickey Loomis, Loomis conceded that he made some mistakes as Saints' GM. He also, however, said that it wasn't all his fault. "You know what makes it hard to build depth?" he posited, citing a common criticism of his time as General Manager. "Having two draft picks taken away from you. That makes it hard." Loomis also claimed "mea culpa" on signing Junior Galette to a 4 year, $41.5 million paycheck. Asked how long & hard he thought about signing Galette to the contract, Loomis replied "Not hard enough."
