Carolina Panthers - A Lesson In How To Draft

Take a look at their list of first round picks over the past 11 years:

Thomas Davis (OLB)
RD1 - 14th overall pick in 2005. 1st team All-Pro 2015. Pro Bowl 2015. Criminally underrated for years.

DeAngelo Williams (RB)
RD1 - 27th overall in 2006. 2nd team All-Pro 2008. Pro Bowl in 2009. Still a quality veteran in Pittsburgh.

Jon Beason (LB)
RD1 - 25th overall in 2007. 1st team All-Pro 2008, 2nd team All-Pro 2009. Pro Bowl 2008, 2009, 2010.

Jonathan Stewart (RB)
RD1 - 13th overall in 2008. Pro Bowl 2015. Pro Football Focus All-Pro 2015. High quality veteran RB.

Cam Newton (QB)
RD1 - 1st overall in 2011. 1st team All-Pro 2015. Pro Bowl 2011, 2013, 2015. NFL League MVP 2015.

Luke Kuechly (ILB)
RD1 - 9th overall in 2012. 1st team All-Pro 2013, 2014, 2015. Pro Bowl 2013, 2014, 2015.

Star Lotulelei (DT)
RD1 - 13th overall pick in 2013. Stand out rookie season. Injuries have hampered his progress a little since.

Kelvin Benjamin (WR)
RD1 - 28th overall in 2014. Had a great rookie season with 1008 yards and 9 TD. Tore ACL in 2015 pre-season.

Shaq Thompson (LB)
RD1 - 25th overall in 2015. Brought in to take over from Thomas Davis. Looks promising.

Add in other high quality players picked outside the first rd:
Kawann Short (DT - RD2 , 2013), Josh Norman (CB - RD5, 2012), Charles Johnson (DE - RD3, 2007)
Ryan Kalil (C - RD2, 2007), Trai Turner (OG - RD3, 2014), Kony Ealy (DE - RD2, 2014), Bene Benwikere (CB - RD5, 2014).

So yeah, they draft pretty good......
