Saints News, 1/29/16: Saints Spend $100,000 to Fund Football Safety Awareness Program

In what was otherwise a completely uneventful day for New Orleans' football, one very notable thing did come out of the Saints' organization. The Saints are to contribute $100,000 to a football "heads up" program, encouraging player safety for high school coaches in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. It marks the first time a team has worked in conjunction with 3 states to raise football safety awareness.
