Upon first glance, the week off proved to be a good thing for the New Orleans Saints, as they got back several important pieces back into the mix. Unfortunately, hopes of it being a little thinner weren’t there, as eight total players were listed on Wednesday’s injury report.
DID NOT PARTICIPATE
LT Terron Armstead (knee)
LB Dannell Ellerbe (quad)
S Erik Harris (ACL/knee)
DE Paul Kruger (back)
CB Delvin Breaux (fibula)
LIMITED
TE Josh Hill (ankle)
G Senio Kelemete (hamstring)
LB James Laurinaitis (quad)
As The Advocate’s Nick Underhill pointed out earlier, Breaux, Kruger, and Harris were not present at the open portion of practice. Although no official announcement has been made by the Saints, Harris’ season appears to be all but over after reportedly undergoing a surgical procedure on Tuesday. Look for that to come soon.
On the other side of the field, Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was limited in practice.
