Saints Thursday Injury Report: LB Paul Kruger DNP, Panthers QB Cam Newton Full

So players are back practicing even if it’s on a limited basis. Just which teams injury reports are more important to the Sunday matchup can be debated amongst Saints fans!

Of Special concern on the Saints side of the injury report are Terron Armstead still not practicing as well as Dannell Ellerbe. With Andrus Peat as an adequate replacement for Armstead I view it as a good thing the team is not rushing him back. The big question mark in my mind concerns Ellerbe. Coach Payton keeps indicating he is on track with no set backs, but one has to wonder. James Laurinaitis “is” practicing abet limitedly, with a “Quad”, yet Ellerbe hasn’t practiced in weeks. With TE Coby Fleener starting to get it, the return of Josh Hill to limited practice doesn’t seem as important.

On the Panthers side of things, both QB Cam Newton and RB Jonathan Stewart are listed as full.
