It’s good to see the New Orleans Saints getting some love despite being on the losing end. Wide receiver Michael Thomas is up for Pepsi’s Rookie of the Week after a spectacular 10-catch, 130-yard receiving performance against the Kansas City Chiefs. Thomas saw a total of 13 targets on the day, and kept making plays when the team needed him to.

It was Thomas’ first 100-yard receiving game in the NFL, and he became the third rookie in franchise history to post 10 receptions for 130 yards. He joined the likes of Marques Colston and Danny Abramowicz.
According to Pro Football Focus, Thomas is the highest-graded rookie receiver this season. He leads the group in multiple categories, including receptions, yards, touchdowns, catch rate (76.6 percent of targets), touchdowns, and missed tackles forced (seven). The Saints BMW trio keeps impressing, and we patiently keep waiting for the defense to deliver.
