If you're a daily fantasy player, I typically look at four players from the New Orleans Saints and their opponent’s rosters that I would target in daily fantasy (based off their value and potential results). Obviously, Saints QB Drew Brees is a safe QB for daily fantasy leagues, but spending your money on a top-tier starting QB leaves you scraping the barrel to fill out the rest of your roster.
With the New Orleans Saints having an early Bye week, I decided to stick to players across the NFC South that provide the most bang for your buck. (Values from Fanduel.)
K Roberto Aguayo (TB) - $4,500
I cannot stress enough how easy it is to find value at the K position in Daily Fantasy. Aguayo has been a fairly accurate K this regular season after a shaky start, but he has had multiple opportunities to show off his incredible leg strength. Aguyao, coming in at $600 cheaper than the Patriots’ Stephen Gostkowski, is one of the cheapest Kickers available.
TE Jacob Tamme (ATL) - $5,400
At $2,600 cheaper than Greg Olsen of the Panthers, Tamme provides incredible value. Even against the incredibly talented Denver defense, Tamme should get looks in the endzone if or when the Falcons find themselves in scoring position.
RB Fozzy Whittaker (CAR) - $6,100
There is always value to be found in a backup having to take the reigns at RB week-to-week. Jonathan Stewart’s Week 5 status is still up in the air, so assuming he misses another week, it’s safe to roll with Whittaker. Jacquizz Rodgers of the Bucs is another option with both Martin and Sims likely to miss Week 5, but I like Whittaker’s matchup better.
Carolina DST - $5,000
I like Whittaker’s matchup running against the Tampa Bay defense moreso than I like Tampa Bay’s chances to light up Carolina’s D. Carolina is an expensive defense in Daily Fantasy, coming only $100 cheaper than the most expensive options available, but I fully expect them to be worth it.
