According to ESPN’s Field Yates, the Seattle Seahawks are signing ex-Saints defensive tackle John Jenkins to their active roster. The report came out early Friday morning.
Former Saints DT John Jenkins will be signing with the Seahawks, per league source.

Jenkins, who was just released on Nov. 8, quickly became a shadow for the team’s defense. Jenkins lost playing time to second-year Tyeler Davison and rookie David Onyemata, and became completely expendable with the return of Sheldon Rankins.
Sean Payton told the media on his release that the team never got the production the Saints would have liked out of Jenkins, and that his departure came down to a numbers game.
The Seahawks have become a popular destination for a lot of Saints players. Including Jimmy Graham, they’ve added players like Tavaris Barnes, Jahri Evans, C.J. Spiller, and Stanley Jean-Baptiste to name a few. Jenkins played in 49 games for the Saints from 2013-2016, which included 22 starts. He finished with just 1.5 sacks and 67 total tackles for the team, and also had a forced fumble and two pass breakups.
