Four Daily Fantasy Players From New Orleans Saints vs Carolina Panthers

If you're a daily fantasy player, I typically look at four players from the New Orleans Saints and their opponent’s rosters that I would target in daily fantasy (based off their value and potential results). Obviously, Saints QB Drew Brees is a safe QB for daily fantasy leagues, but spending your money on a top-tier starting QB leaves you scraping the barrel to fill out the rest of your roster.

So here are three Saints and one Panthers that provide the most bang for your buck. (Values from Fanduel.)

K Will Lutz (NO) - $4,500

Lutz is still one of the cheapest kickers available, so Lutz is still one of the better options for daily fantasy. Of the 14 kickers all available for $4,500, only Lutz and Caleb Sturgis of the Eagles average more than 9 points per game.

QB Drew Brees (NO) - $8,300

It’s hard to believe, but the Saints veteran QB is only the 5th most expensive QB this week, coming in $1,000 than Patriots QB Tom Brady. Still, Brees is tied with Aaron Rodgers for the highest fantasy points per week and is going against a leaky Carolina secondary.

WR Michael Thomas (NO) - $6,500

After the rookie’s two fumbles last week and three touchdowns combined between Willie Snead and Brandin Cooks, Thomas has seen both of the other Saints wideouts take firm places ahead of him in daily fantasy rankings this week. At $2,500 cheaper than OBJ, Thomas is an excellent value play.

TE Greg Olsen (CAR) - $7,100

Olsen might be the second most expensive QB, but the drop-off between him and Rob Gronkowski of the Patriots is a full $1,300. Olsen remains Panthers QB Cam Newton’s go-to redzone target, so even if the Saints win, look for Olsen to have a strong day.
