Four Daily Fantasy Players From New Orleans Saints at San Francisco 49ers

Four Saints for daily fantasy.

NFL: Seattle Seahawks at New Orleans Saints Chuck Cook-USA TODAY Sports

If you're a daily fantasy player, I typically look at four players from the New Orleans Saints and their opponent’s rosters that I would target in daily fantasy (based off their value and potential results). Obviously, Saints QB Drew Brees is a safe QB for daily fantasy leagues, but spending your money on a top-tier starting QB leaves you scraping the barrel to fill out the rest of your roster.

So here are four Saints (I don’t trust any 49ers) that provide the most bang for your buck. (Values from Fanduel.)

K Will Lutz (NO) - $4,500

Lutz actually has the 8th most daily fantasy points per game of available kickers, but is somehow still among the cheapest kickers available. Sean Payton continues to show faith in Lutz, bringing him out for short and long-range kicks in high pressure situations. In what should be a strong showing from the Saints this week, Lutz is a strong play.

QB Drew Brees (NO) - $8,600

Even playing against the worst defense in the NFC, Drew Brees is only the third most expensive QB available in daily fantasy. Expect the Saints to feature multiple Running Backs against a 49ers team that gives up over five yards per carry, but the Saints backfield is a big question mark right now. Even still, Sean Payton will still dial up plenty of passing plays for Drew to have a solid game on the road.

TE Coby Fleener (NO) - $5,800

Fleener’s price remains has gone up a little after last week, but he is still $1,700 cheaper than the most expensive Tight End available. Fleener is a growing redzone target for Brees and should be one of the many beneficiaries of a big day for the New Orleans offense.

WR Michael Thomas (NO) - $5,800

Don’t look now, but it’s actually Thomas (not Cooks, Snead or Fleener) who leads the Saints in receptions halfway through the season. Thomas continues to impress and comes a whopping $3,200 cheaper than Falcons wideout Julio Jones.

My full daily fantasy lineup this week:

QB Drew Brees (NO) $8,600

RB Jonathan Stewart (CAR) $6,400

RB Ezekiel Elliott (DAL) $9,200

WR Mike Evans (TB) $8,300

WR Michael Thomas (NO) $5,800

WR Quincy Enunwa (NYJ) $6,400

TE Coby Fleener (NO) $5,800

K Will Lutz (NO) $4,500

DST Cowboys (vs CLE) $4,900
