If you're a daily fantasy player, I look at four players from the New Orleans Saints and their opponent’s rosters that I would target in daily fantasy (based off their value and potential results). Obviously, Saints QB Drew Brees is a safe QB for daily fantasy leagues, but spending your money on a top-tier starting QB leaves you scraping the barrel to fill out the rest of your roster.
So here are two Saints and two Rams that provide the most bang for your buck. (Values from Fanduel.)
TE Coby Fleener (5,700) - $5,700
Fleener comes $2,800 cheaper than Gronk, and Fleener has been a gradually more productive piece in the New Orleans offense as the season goes. It’s hard to find consistent production at the tight end position, but Coby Fleener is a solid option this week.
K Greg Zuerlein (LA) - $4,800
Lutz is no longer one of the cheapest Kickers available. As between Lutz and Zuerlein, Zuerlein is cheaper, and he comes $300 cheaper than the most expensive Kicker out there.
WR Michael Thomas (NO) - $6,400
Thomas is looking to continue to bounce back after his two-fumble game against the Broncos, and this has decreased his value tremendously in daily fantasy. Thomas comes $2,600 cheaper than the most expensive WR out there, but also comes $900 cheaper than Brandin Cooks.
RB Todd Gurley (LA) - $7,500
Hear my out: Gurley has largely been a disappointment this season, and the Saints have been surprisingly strong against the run. That being said, the Rams offense still lives and dies with Todd Gurley. He will get enough touches to where eventually he will inevitably break out a large run or two, and will most likely find his way into the endzone. At $2,000 cheaper than the most expensive RB, Gurley might be an incredible value.
My full daily fantasy lineup this week:
QB Marcus Mariota (TEN) $8,300
RB Todd Gurley (LA) $7,500
RB Jay Ajayi (MIA) $8,400
WR Larry Fitzgerald (ARI) $7,200
WR Michael Thomas (NO) $6,400
WR Brandon Marshall (NYJ) $7,100
TE Coby Fleener (NO) - $5,700
K Greg Zuerlein (LA) $4,800
DST Giants (vs Browns) $4,800
