SB Nation’s Power Rankings: New Orleans Saints Jump After Blowing Out Rams

The New Orleans Saints improved three spots this week to #17 after a dominating win against the Los Angeles Rams.

The top four teams in this week’s rankings remain unchanged for weeks, with the Cowboys, Seahawks, Patriots and and Raiders holding spots 1-4 respectively. However, after a surprising loss to Tampa Bay, Seattle moves out of the top four with the Atlanta Falcons taking their place. The bottom six teams also remain unchanged, with the Jaguars, 49ers, and Browns maintaining their stranglehold of the bottom three spots.

Along with the Saints, that surprise win over the Seahawks made the Bucs another big riser in this week’s rankings. The Seahawks and Cardinals both took a tumble after losses against the NFC South. Next week’s opponent, the Detroit Lions, improved two spots to #13.
