The Week 9 final injury report is out for the New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers. Three players from Sean Payton’s squad have been ruled out: Dannell Ellerbe (quad), James Laurinaitis (quad), and Daniel Lasco (hamstring). Six others are ruled questionable: Terron Armstead (knee), Delvin Breaux (fibula), Sterling Moore (abdomen), Jake Lampman (knee), and Stephone Anthony (hamstring).
From Friday afternoon media reports, linebackers James Laurinaitis and Dannell Ellerbe were not spotted during the open portion of practice. Rookie wide receiver Michael Thomas was also in and out, but says he’s okay while dealing with a stomach issue.
The team’s official release of the injury report listed Max Unger (shoulder), Kenny Vaccaro (knee), and Michael Thomas (ankle) as limited.
As for the 49ers, Carlos Hyde is questionable and doesn’t feel that optimistic on playing from earlier reports.
Out
LB Aaron Lynch (ankle)
CB Rashard Robinson (knee)
Questionable
RB Carlos Hyde (shoulder)
We should know more about rookie defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins’ availability on Saturday. However, most would be surprised if he doesn’t play this week for Dennis Allen’s defense.
