According to agent Greg Barnett, the New Orleans Saints have added wide receiver Corey Fuller to their active 53-man roster.
My client @iCoreyFuller will be leaving lions practice squad signing with the @Saints active roster! Good luck @iCoreyFuller

Fuller, formerly of the Detroit Lions, was a sixth-round pick out of Virginia Tech in 2013 and appeared in 38 games between 2014-2015. He actually caught the game-winning touchdown reception against the Saints in the 2014 matchup. Fuller began the season on PUP, activated in Week 10, and was released in late November but returned to the team’s practice squad just a day later.
It’s unclear as to whether the black and gold have an injury, or maybe it’s just the team doing some due diligence at the end of the season. Hopefully Fuller can help improve the special teams coverage. No official move has been announced by the team, and there will no doubt be a corresponding release with the addition.
Stay tuned, as we’ll update it once we get final word.
