Per the NFL transaction report the Saints have placed CB Delvin Breaux on injured reserve, and claimed DB Robenson Therezie from the Atlanta Falcons on waivers.
Much was expected from Delvin this season but injuries hampered him all season. Needing to make last minute adjustments the Saints have placed Breaux on IR ending his 2016 season.
They have also claimed Robenson Therezie who the Falcons waived to strengthen the depleted secondary corps. Therezie was signed by the Falcons as an UDFA in 2015 and made the final 53 on 9-7-2015. Made his first career INT in week 7 of 2015, against the Titans in the last 2 minutes of the game, sealing a 10-7 victory. He has played in 25 games over 2 seasons recording the one interception, 2 credited pass breakups, and 36 total tackles. He was released by the Falcons today, 12-23-2016. Considered a Safety, the suspension of Kenny Vaccaro probably also influenced the claiming.
