Four Daily Fantasy Players From New Orleans Saints vs Atlanta Falcons

One Saint and three Falcons to target in daily fantasy.

NFL: Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

If you're a daily fantasy player, I look at four players from the New Orleans Saints and their opponent’s rosters that I would target in daily fantasy (based off their value and potential results). Obviously, Saints QB Drew Brees is a safe QB for daily fantasy leagues, but spending your money on a top-tier starting QB leaves you scraping the barrel to fill out the rest of your roster.

So here are one Saint and three Falcons that provide the most bang for your buck. (Values from Fanduel.)

QB Matt Ryan (ATL) - $8,700

Last time these two teams met, Matt Ryan only had 240 yards and two passing TDs. Unfortunately, the Saints defense has given up 666 passing yards and 6 passing TDs the past two weeks. Expect the Falcons offense to have another big day against the Saints defense this go-round. Coming $400 cheaper than the most expensive QB available, Matt Ryan will be playing to try to get his team a first-round Bye.

WR Julio Jones (ATL) - $8,300

Like Matt Ryan, WR Julio Jones didn’t have a good game the last time these two teams met. Unlike Matt Ryan, Julio actually had a bad game. Julio finished with only one catch for 16 yards. Don’t expect that to happen again. Coming $500 cheaper than the most expensive WR available, the odds of Julio putting up another dud are small.

RB Devonta Freeman (ATL) - $8,000

One Falcon who didn’t have a bad game last time was RB Devonta Freeman. In the teams’ prior meeting, Freeman finished with over 200 yards from scrimmage and a TD. Surprisingly, Freeman comes a whopping $2,000 cheaper than the most expensive RB available.

WR Michael Thomas (NO) - $6,700

Zig when they zag. The Saints made a conscious effort to get Brandin Cooks the ball after he voiced his displeasure with a lack of touches in the Saints blowout over Los Angeles. Now, the QB Drew Brees can go back to looking for the best receiving matchup he has, and that will most likely be Michael Thomas throughout a majority of the game. Thomas comes $2,100 cheaper than Odell Beckham Jr., but should have himself a great game to end the season.

My full daily fantasy lineup this week:
