According to Kent Somers of azcentral sports, the Arizona Cardinals have signed cornerback Brian Dixon off of the New Orleans Saints practice squad to their active roster.

Dixon has been around the Saints since 2014, after making the team as an undrafted rookie free agent from Northwest Missouri State. He’d appear in all 32 games during his first two seasons, and was waived during final cuts prior to the start of the 2016 season. He’d bounce around between the practice squad and active roster several times, but only appeared in five games.

Dixon has strong abilities on special teams, and racked up 32 total tackles, a pass defense, and two forced fumbles in his time with New Orleans.

It won’t come as a shock, but Dixon was pretty excited about the news. He tweeted, “Thank you Lord for new beginnings.” He also promptly changed his background to a Cardinals logo.
