Sunday mornings sure are interesting when it comes to the Saints, as one particular NFL insider suggests Cooks could be traded.

Sunday mornings are a little bit more interesting when NFL Insider Ian Rapoport says something related to the New Orleans Saints. Rapoport released a report that suggested wide receiver Brandin Cooks could be at the center of offseason trade talks in just a few months.

This is purely speculative of course, as Rapoport doesn’t cite sources to his claim. He says, from the article: “The offseason might be a different story. Cooks' frustration with his role in the offense led some to wonder if this is the best system for his talents, something the Saints likely will explore in the offseason. Expect trade talks centered around Cooks leading up to the free-agency window, with the speedster no doubt set to draw interest.”

Cooks, the 2014 first-rounder, is under contract through 2017 with the team having an option on him in 2018. Without question, Cooks has an extreme amount of talent and has a spot in New Orleans with Drew Brees.

If you want to know where head coach Sean Payton might stand on this issue, then look at this tweet that he gave a retweet.
