NFC Playoff Picture: New Orleans Saints fall down two spots after loss

Week 13 is all but over in the NFC, and the playoff picture is a little clearer.

The New Orleans Saints lost their momentum gained from Week 12 after losing at home to the Detroit Lions on Sunday. The team moved back from 9th to 11th in the NFC Playoff race, which seems all but a pipe dream at this point. The sad part is teams in front of them lost that would have really helped the Saints had they won.

The Cowboys have a stranglehold on the top spot in the NFC, and are the only team to have clinched a playoff berth in the league. With a big road victory over the Chargers and other teams losing, the Bucs are in as the No. 6 seed. You can find the full NFL Playoff Picture here.

In Week 14, the Saints travel to take on the Buccaneers in America’s Game of the Week. We could very well witness the end of the team’s season, or just see a team that responds to keep us into it for at least one more week. Atlanta travels to Los Angeles to take on the Rams while Carolina hosts the Chargers after being blown out on the road.

Naturally, the Saints only means of doing something is winning first. However, games of interest include: Chicago at Detroit, Minnesota at Jacksonville, Arizona at Miami, Washington at Philadelphia, Seattle at Green Bay, and Dallas at NY Giants.
