Saints News, 2/18/16: Markell Gregoire Dies of Osteosarcoma

Markell Gregoire, 16, died Saturday after a long battle with cancer. Gregoire announced Kenny Vaccaro as the Saints' first draft pick in 2013, and had become a friend to the staff and the players alike. Gregoire's condition was osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer. The New Orleans Saints issued a statement today, saying: “We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our friend Markell. He was a true Saints fan and he showcased an incredible spirit when he visited us. We send our prayers to the family and friends of Markell.”
