Saints News, 2/24/16: Players Mostly Mum; Media Reacts to News of Marques Colston Release

New, comments

Marques Colston, perhaps the best wide receiver in Saints history, is facing release. Colston held various Saints' records, including most career receptions, most career receiving yards, most total touchdowns, highest receiving average and most yards from scrimmage. Colston, who was always mild-mannered (even in an age of diva receivers) never made a Pro Bowl, nor did he ever complain about it. He leaves New Orleans as Drew Brees's favorite target since joining the team in 2006, and despite a dropoff in production the last two years, he leaves the Saints beloved by players, coaches and fans alike.
