It was later confirmed by Adam Schefter
Former Rams' LB James Laurinaitis is signing with the Saints, as @Rand_Getlin reported.

Laurinaitis who played middle linebacker for the Rams doesn't really seem to be a good fit for the Saints, since the team just drafted its apparent MLB of the future in Stephone Anthony. The size of Laurinaitis' contract could shed more light on whether he is coming to New Orleans to be a backup, although that is unlikely.
This is a bit of a puzzling move that is sure to make Saints fans debate the merits of the signing.
