New Orleans Saints Given Slimmest Chance to Win NFC South

Everyone is already counting out the Saints before the season starts.

Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports, an online sports-betting site, has released betting odds of each team winning their respective division. In the NFC South, the New Orleans Saints get no love, tied with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the lowest odds to win the division. The defending NFC Champion Carolina Panthers obviously lead the charge, but the Atlanta Falcons surprisingly are an odds-on favorite to win the NFC South over the Saints (and Bucs).

The people behind Bovada clearly do not read our saga of "Why the New Orleans Saints Could Win it All, Part ___," but ranking the Falcons with better odds to win the South is still an interesting move. Full odds below:

Odds to Win the 2016-17 NFC South

Carolina Panthers                      1/2

Atlanta Falcons                         21/4

New Orleans Saints                   6/1

Tampa Bay Buccaneers             6/1

It should be noted that the Panthers have the best odds of any team in the NFL to win their division. In a ranking that should surprise no one, the Cleveland Browns (tied with the San Francisco 49ers) have the lowest odds of winning their division, at 20/1.
