USA Today Ranks New Orleans Saints with 21st Overall Offseason

After a mediocre draft and a questionable contract to an expensive Tight End, the Saints offseason ranking is pretty low.

USA Today recently ranked all 32 NFL Teams' offseason. Obviously the recent 2016 NFL Draft was included, but so were moves made in free agency. Coming in the second half of the pack at 21st overall were your New Orleans Saints.

21. New Orleans Saints: A defense that allowed a league-high 476 points and league-record 45 TD passes welcomes veteran MLB James Laurinaitis and DT Nick Fairley" culang="en">Nick Fairleyalong with a first rounder (DT Sheldon Rankins) and a second rounder (S Vonn Bell). And though QB Drew Brees lost trusted targets Jimmy Graham and Marques Colston" culang="en">Marques Colstonover the last year, GM Mickey Loomis signed a talented tight end (Coby Fleener) and drafted a large wideout (6-3, 212-pound Michael Thomas) in Round 2.

No NFC South division rival ranked below the Saints, with the Carolina Panthers coming closest, right before the Saints at #20. It's important to remember that USA Today gave the New Orleans Saints 2016 NFL Draft a grade of "D," so that played a heavy factor in this ranking. Do you agree with this ranking of 21st overall? It seems a little harsh, but what says you?
