R.J. Harris Has the Right Attitude in Minicamp

R.J. Harris will be a name to keep an eye during the rest of camp.

At this time of the year, fringe players have to find a way to stand out to make the final 53-man roster. Wide Receiver R.J. Harris is definitely making his case to break camp with the Saints.

Earlier in camp, Harris messed up a route "pretty bad," but was reportedly receptive to learning from and correcting him mistake. Now, he's also trying to learn every position he can.

"That's kind of been my role just whenever someone goes down, hopefully no one gets injured, but when someone goes down you want to be the person that says, 'I can do that.' Whether it's here, there or they say 'R.J., go play defense.' I'm going to defense; special teams. Anything I can do to better myself to make this 53-man roster I'm going to do."

This same attitude was one held by Wide Receiver Willie Snead last season. On Harris, Snead said, "[Harris] is definitely turning heads...he's growing into the position."
