The New Orleans Saints (0-1) do battle with the Houston Texans (1-0) to help wrap up Week 2 preseason action.

The black and gold look to pick up their first preseason victory in over a year. Meanwhile, we’re looking forward to seeing a few things as the game unfolds. What's some of the things we're keeping an eye out for?

  • A Garrett Grayson repeat: The second-year quarterback had a rough start out of the gate, but rebounded in a big way. Grayson was able to finish with respectable numbers, so can he put on a repeat performance?
  • Improved depth play: You want to see a better effort out of the second and third-team player, particularly on the offensive line and secondary.
  • Nick Fairley in place of Sheldon Rankins: Fairley finds himself in the premiere starting role with Rankins out for several weeks. Not only are we curious to see what Fairley brings to the table, but we're also looking at someone to emerge as the option behind him.
  • The Michael Thomas spotlight: He just keeps putting on a show during practice, and had a strong debut in his first pro action. I'm curious to see if Drew Brees can get a few passes his way early on.
  • Can someone just kick a field goal? Someone has to emerge as a favorite, and Kai Forbath's weak attempt at a field goal last week didn't exactly make us feel confident.
