Former Ohio State Buckeye Michael Thomas continues to impress in camp and through the first two weeks of the preseason. New Orleans Saints head coach, when asked about the rookie Wideout said this:
Payton on Michael Thomas: "I don't do fantasy football, but I would get him." #Saints

Well that’s mighty high praise from the Saints head coach. For Thomas to be a fantasy contributor, it means he should be expected to get chunks of receiving yards a gain with a handful of touchdown receptions as well. It is important to remember, though, that this comment is coming from someone who actually stands in a position to help these results actually come to fruition.
When Sean Payton has had play-making offensive weapons at his disposal, he has designed plays tailor-made for those players. Reggie Bush, Jimmy Graham, Brandin Cooks, and others have all been the beneficiary of specially-made offensive plays. Maybe Michael Thomas will be another such player.
Keep in mind that we as Saints fans still need to keep our excitement and expectations tempered. Mike Triplett over at ESPN wrote a nice piece explaining the offensive projections of all Saints WRs, and even with all of the hype, Brandin Cooks should still be your top target on the Saints receiving corps.
