The New Orleans Saints set a franchise record for the longest passing play in their 50-year history on Sunday against the Oakland Raiders.
After being pinned deep inside their own territory by a superb punt by Marquette King, the Saints offense started from their own 2-yard line. That’s when the magic happened, as quarterback Drew Brees found wide receiver Brandin Cooks in stride for a 98-yard score

Brees’ previous career long was 86 yards from 2006.
According to NFL Network’s Evan Lazar, Cooks reached a top speed 22.13 miles per hour on the score.
Brandin Cooks with a top speed of 22.13 MPH on that 98-yard TD. By far the fastest ball carrier of the day #Saints #Raiders
