Tracking NFL roster cuts: 2016 New Orleans Saints edition

Keep track of all the final cuts the New Orleans Saints make as they get down to 53 players by the Saturday deadline.

Chuck Cook-USA TODAY Sports

The New Orleans Saints and the rest of the NFL teams will be charged with making their final 53-man rosters between now and the league's Saturday deadline at 3:00 p.m. CST. It's the dreaded cut down from 75 to 53 players, which will leave some 700 players on the unemployment line.

It's a trying time for many, especially those who have battled and fought hard for the past several months. The black and gold have the majority of their roster figured out, with glaring exceptions being at offensive line. In turn, the Saints may pay close attention to some of the players being released. If they feel an upgrade can be made for an offensive guard or reserve tackle, then don't be surprised to see them pull the trigger.

The Saints will also have another task at hand, which is shaping out their 10-man practice squad on Sunday. There are some promising players that could find themselves being brought back after final cuts.

Share some thoughts in the comments section on some cuts that would surprise you, and feel free to give some love to a player or players that you feel deserve to be on the squad.

We'll be tracking the cuts below, and be sure to keep up with some of these important Twitter guys for breaking news.
