Without question, Williams’ incident on Sunday was one of the more terrifying moments, as it was feared that the second-year cornerback suffered a spinal injury after taking two blows to the head that knocked him unconscious a few minutes.
The cart was immediately called for after the play, as the crowd fell very silent and football didn’t matter anymore. Williams did not move, but we got an official word that the Williams was being treated for a concussion and was moving his fingers and toes.
Williams ended up having a CT scan on his spine, and he returned home to New Orleans on Monday.
From insider Field Yates, the Saints are adding offensive tackle Tony Hills in his place. It’s unclear as to how much time Williams will miss.
A source adds that they'll fill Williams' roster spot to bring back OT Tony Hills. https://t.co/VjO08sDFhw
