It’s been a very emotional rollercoaster for all parties involved, as multiple reports and theories have presented themselves as to what a new deal for the 37-year-old quarterback would look like. Brees made it clear months ago on his stance that a deal needed to get done prior to the team’s first regular season, but agent Tom Condon and general manager Mickey Loomis hit a stalemate and reportedly didn’t speak for months.
Per reports, a new Brees deal could be in the vicinity of a 4-year, $100 million contract. The guaranteed money could be well into the 75 percent range or higher.
Stay tuned, as we’ll continue to bring you the very latest from ‘Brees watch’.
