New Orleans Saints Linebacker Kasim Edebali is one of twenty New Orleans Saints players entering free agency this year. After logging a career-high five sacks and sixteen tackles in 2015, Edebali had only one sack and five total tackles in all of 2016, starting just one game for the second year in a row.

A potential Special Teams player with occasional spots on defense, Edebali has apparently been considering life after professional football already. What would he decide to dabble in? Coaching? Public speaking? Maybe even acting? No. Professional wrestling with the WWE. Edebali got to experience a WWE-style workout where he got to channel his inner Dwayne Johnson.

Edebali didn’t have an incredibly successful time in New Orleans, but he did what not very many people in the world are able to do, although many try: get to the highest level in professional football. He has the physique and athleticism to be a Linebacker in the National Football League, so this should translate well to the squared circle of professional wrestling should he decide to try to make a career out of it.

Whether for the WWE, back with the New Orleans Saints, or with another team in the NFL, we wish Kasim all the success in the world. Unless he joins the Falcons. Or the Panthers. Or the Bucs. Then maybe not so much.
