New Orleans Saints Rookie WR Michael Thomas is up for the 10th annual VIZIO Top Value Performer Trophy. This award is given to the player whose on-field performance most exceeds the value of their contract. The award is not exclusively meant for rookies, but a rookie contract helps create excess “value” with superb on-field success.

The other finalists include RB Jay Ajayi (Miami Dolphins), RB Spencer Ware (Kansas City Chiefs), WR Tyrell Williams (San Diego Chargers), and RB Latavius Murray (Oakland Raiders). About Thomas, VIZIO says:

Most rookies spend their first season playing behind veteran teammates, but if there’s one thing Michael Thomas has done, it’s prove that he is not most rookies. Thomas has been a revelation for New Orleans, adding even more firepower to one of the league’s most elite offenses. With an effective combination of size and speed, the future looks bright for Thomas as he continues to strive towards being one of the best receivers in the game. Making just $450,000 this season, Thomas is definitely a viable candidate for the tenth annual TVP award.

If you want to vote for Thomas to win the award, go to Voting is open now, until Monday, Jan 16 at 11:59 PM PT. You can vote as many times as you’d like.

Interstingly, Thomas would make the second current or former Saint to win the award, as former New Orleans Saints WR Kenny Stills won in 2014.
