Three Saints and one Lion to target in daily fantasy.

If you're a daily fantasy player, before each game I will look at three/four players from the New Orleans Saints and their opponent’s rosters that I would target in daily fantasy (based off their value and potential results). Obviously, Saints QB Drew Brees is a safe QB for daily fantasy leagues, but spending your money on a top-tier starting QB leaves you scraping the barrel to fill out the rest of your roster.

So here are three Saints and one Lion that provide the most bang for your buck. (Values from Fanduel.)

QB Drew Brees (NO) - $8,600

Brees is $900 cheaper than the most expensive QB available, but that is probably due to the fact that the Lions defense has been incredibly adept at creating turnovers. Even still, I’d roll with Drew Brees as my starting QB in fantasy any week.

RB Mark Ingram (NO) - $5,900

After the trade of Adrian Peterson to Arizona, Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara will now officially be the featured backs in New Orleans. Ingram will be the likely starter for Week 6, and his daily fantasy value hasn’t caught up with his projected snap-count just yet. He comes $3,400 cheaper than the most expensive RB available, so he’s an incredible value this week.

K Wil Lutz (NO) - $4,700

Lutz is back in my daily fantasy lineup for another week. He comes only $600 cheaper than the most expensive Kicker available, but the Saints and Lions matchup has all the makings of a high-scoring affair. I want as much stock in this game as possible.

WR Theo Riddick (DET) - $4,900

Speaking of value plays like Ingram and Lutz, Riddick might just be the best value play of the week, coming $4,400 cheaper than the most expensive RB available. We’ve seen what pass-catching Running Backs like Christian McCaffrey have done against the Saints defense, so look for Riddick to provide similar value.

My full daily fantasy lineup this week:

QB Drew Brees (NO) - $8,600

RB Mark Ingram (NO) - $5,900

RB Theo Riddick (DET) - $4,900

WR Julio Jones (ATL) - $8,400

WR Jordy Nelson (GB) - $8,100

WR Mike Evans (TB) - $8,100

TE Cameron Brate (TB) - $5,900

K Wil Lutz (NO) - $4,700

DST Broncos (vs Giants) - $5,400
