Are the Saints a playoff team?

Yes... Yes, they are.

Despite injuries to both offense and defense, including not yet being able to start the same five players on the offensive line for two games in a row, they are heading towards the playoffs. At least they would be if the season were to end today. But who would want that, anyway?

And while some are always looking for any reason to impugn the team, here's at least one factoid to support the legitimacy of the 2017 Saints' performance through week 6:

None of their opponents thus far have losing records, despite three of them being handed losses by New Orleans. In fact, four of the five are also currently slated in the playoff bracket, including the Patriots and Dolphins. So the success of the Black and Gold is certainly not by virtue of easy scheduling.
